From my life to yours...

"The greatest four years of your life," they say.

That's right, college. The craziest experience there is, and I'll be sharing all of mine with you. So whether you're a ninth grader thinking about the future or a long time graduate thinking of the past, this blog is where it's at. I'll tell you everything I know and everything I'm sure to learn about classes, parties, dorm life, and more. So hang on tight...

I've heard it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Tips and Advice - Parties

Every movie, book, and song about college has one thing in common...the parties. Frats, Sororities, drinking, smoking, dancing...it's a lot to take in. Especially if you didn't party much in high school. If you did than you may already know some of the guidelines I'm going to throw out here. If not, then stick around, because you're about to read...

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT COLLEGE PARTIES

1) Alright, first off, it's gotta be said. Don't be that stupid freshman who gets kicked out of school on the first week because you can't hold your liquor. There will be plenty of time for parties and such. First week of school? Probably not a good start.

2) If you plan on keeping alcohol in your room, make sure you have a tucked away place for it. Mini fridge, under the bed, in the closet; anywhere except right out in the open. Don't be an idiot.

3) Also, if you're keeping alcohol in your room, be sure to keep tabs on when room checks are. Those do happen.

4) If you have class during the week (especially early classes), wait until the weekend to party. You're paying to go to school here, don't screw it up for a single crazy night!

5) In case you don't know, the partying tends to start Thursday night and goes straight on until Sunday. So if you're looking for a party, those are your best bets.

6) NEVER be the one to carry the alcohol. Chances are if you're reading this section of the blog it's because you don't have a lot of experience in this area (Also completely okay, neither do I!). If this is the case then do not let people convince you to keep a couple beers in your bag until you get to the party. If you get pulled over walking down the street and your bag gets checked (This shit does happen, people) you are so screwed.

7) Don't go anywhere on campus (or the rest of town for that matter) with an open container of alcohol. A little different if it's in a cup, but I still wouldn't recommend it. Keep it at the party.

8) For the love of everything, take it slow on the pre game.

9) Keep sight of your drink at a party. If you lose sight of it - Forget about it. Get a new one. I've heard a lot of rumors about Frat parties and you can't be too safe.

10) People do some hard core shit at college. Do not get involved with these things. In no way whatsoever is it worth it. Like what you may ask? Simple guidelines include cocaine, heroin, bath salts...just stay away.

11) Don't go to a party alone. Make a good friend and go with them. If you have their back and they have yours you're much better off.

12) Same applies, don't walk back to your dorm alone. Because chances are you're either drunk or stoned. And you're going to end up lost or in trouble.

13) Scenario: You come home drunk and your roommate's still awake. You end up having a conversation with them, but don't recall it in the morning. You won't realize at the time that they're laughing at you, but this will continue into the morning. Just laugh it off, my friends, just laugh it off.

14) If you drank too much at a party, drink a ton of water before going to bed. It'll help with the hangover symptoms.

15) Do not text, call, snapchat, tweet, post, ANYTHING while you're drunk. You will end up regretting it in the morning.

16) If you have nothing to do the next day, there is absolutely nothing wrong with sleeping off that hangover all. Freaking. Day.

17) Don't puke in your dorm room. Don't be that person. Just don't.

18) Listen to your friend's stories of what happened that night. Definitely helps fill in some of the blank spots.
